Like an extension of the Mediterranean sea, the hotel’s salt water pool and heated freshwater lap pool have been carved out of the rock, blurring the boundary between land and sea.
During the summer, the sea offers perfect conditions for paddle boarding. Paddle boards can be borrowed from the hotel.
The hotel’s two-person kayak is the ideal way to explore the coast and enjoy magnificent views of the Esterel mountains from the sea.
Ranked in Natura 2000, the coast is home to a wealth of flora and fauna. Guests can go hunting for anemones, sea sponges and scorpion fish using masks, palms and snorkels lent by the hotel.
Guests are welcome to borrow basic swimming gear from Les Roches Rouges, including rubber shoes for walking in the sea, goggles, rubber rings and flotation vests.
The hotel has a full size petanque court for fans of traditional activities. Once a week, Robert and Alain, presidents of the neighbouring village’s bowling club, gives free lessons at cocktail hour.
Keen players will appreciate the ping-pong table in the garden.
Two nights a week, the open-air cinema shows films after dark. Classic and contemporary films like Respiro, Le Grand Bleu, La Piscine to be discovered and rediscovered by the light of the moon.
Once a week, the gardens and pool area of the hotel come alive to the strains of live Gypsy, Cuban or acoustic folk-rock music.
The hotel offers open-air yoga classes one morning a week in the garden, by the pool, or on the terrace, for stretching and relaxation exercises in a bucolic environment.
Books, magazines and board games (chess, drafts, backgammon, cards…) are available to be borrowed from the beach bar.
